PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod easy to use by preventing a screw formed on a rod tube from peeling off. SOLUTION: This fishing rod 10 is provided by forming a screw 16 for screwing a bottom plug 14 at the rear end part of a root rod tube 12 formed by winding a fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet obtained by impregnating a reinforcing fiber with synthetic resin, and forming a screw groove 18 of the screw at the tip end side from a position by taking a prescribed distance S from the end surface 12a of rear end part of the root rod tube 12.
