<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance face deflection, especially face deflection characteristics in a high frequency region of a flexible optical disk by regulating the rigidity or the internal loss of the disk and devising the structure of the flexible optical disk so that the fluctuation of the thickness of the disk is reduced as far as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In the flexible optical disk having a disk substrate on which a transfer layer is formed, rigidity of the disk is set to the range of 5 to 5,000 Pa where the rigidity is defined as Young's modulus of the disk ×(thickness of the disk/radius of the disk)<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
