<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen purifying apparatus of being an apparatus to remove CO in a reformed gas containing hydrogen as a main component and CO, which solves problems in that the CO concentration is high at the starting time and the temperature range to remove CO is narrow. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst layer in the hydrogen purifying apparatus is constituted of an upstream side catalyst having a Pt catalyst, or a Ru catalyst carried on an Al oxide or a Ti oxide, carried on a first monolith substrate and a downstream side catalyst having a Ru catalyst carried on a Zr oxide, or a Ru-Pt alloy catalyst carried on a second monolith substrate. A gas containing at least hydrogen, carbon monoxide and oxygen is continuously passed through the catalyst layer in order of the upstream side catalyst and the downstream side catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
