PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system having high follow-up ability to fluctuation in line quality without greatly causing an influence on transmission efficiency by controlling the data amount of a control signal to shorten a measurement time for the line quality and repeatedly measuring the line quality.

SOLUTION: In measuring the line quality of digital modulation system radio communication, a measuring signal is transmitted from a station A to a station B. The station B demodulates the received measuring signal to obtain a symbol. The line quality is measured based on the obtained symbol.
