<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-cycle V-type outboard motor having favorable cooling balance at cylinder parts and coping with specific structure of an outboard motor in a case when a four-cycle engine is employed to the outboard motor. <P>SOLUTION: In this four-cycle V-type engine comprising a right and a left cylinder parts disposed to form V-banks, a crank shaft is vertically disposed to be roughly vertical in navigation. A cooling pipe connected to a delivery port of a cooling water pump is connected to a cooling water passage 69 formed in an oil pan 41. The cooling water passage 69 is branched by branch passages 69a and 69a formed in the oil pan 41 to the right and the left cylinder parts. The respective branch passages are connected to water cooling jackets of a right and a left exhaust manifolds.
