PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a confirming operation of a reproduction image without breaking down a photographic posture by switching an optical finder and an electronic finder. SOLUTION: This digital camera is constituted so that it is provided with a first finder system A which optically guides an object image which passes a photographic lens 2 to a finder 9, a second finder system B which electronically guides the object image to the finder via an imaging device 5 and a display device 7, a switching means 10 for switching valid states of both finder systems, a mode switching means 14 for switching a recording mode for recording the object image in a storage part 6 and a reproduction mode for reading the object image from the storage part 6 and displaying it on the display device 7 and a control part 11 for switching both modes. The control part 11 forcibly switches the finder system to the valid state of the second finder system when the recording mode is switched to the reproduction mode and is automatically restored to the finder system which is set as the valid state in an original recording mode when the reproduction mode is switched and returned to the recording mode again.
