PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record the text information of a CD in an U-TOC of an MD by automatic group management when dubbing the information from the CD to the MD. SOLUTION: When dubbing a CD to an MD in a composite audio system composed of a CD system and an MD system compatible with MDLP capable of recording a plurality of CD data, the text information of the CD is transmitted from the CD system to the MD system by hardware processing. In the MD system, a hierarchical structure consisting of Disk Name 13 of the MD grouped in CD disk units, Disk Name 15 and Track Number 14 of the CD is formed by applying group management related thereto to the transmitted text information, and thus, music information is recorded in the MD.
