<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine that can be mounted without making a mistake between an anode side and a cathode side in assembling. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the ignition coil for the internal combustion engine equipped with a diode 11 which prevents high voltage, that is induced in a secondary coil at the beginning of energizing a primary coil, from being applied to an ignition plug and applies the high voltage that is induced in the secondary coil at the end of energizing the primary coil, to the ignition plug. In the ignition coil for the internal combustion engine, outer diameters of the anode and cathode sides of the diode 11 are made to be different from each other to provide a smaller diametrical portion 12A and a larger one 12B on each side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
