PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend an apparent lifetime of a hard disk by simple processing regarding the control method and control unit of the hard disk in an information processor. SOLUTION: A hard disk control section for controlling the hard disks is constituted so that it determines one hard disk mainly used at a switching period that is preset in activation as one main hard disk to be used, uses a main hard disk mainly in accessing the hard disks in normal operation, checks whether the switching period resulted during normal operation, and uses the main hard disk by switching it according to a predetermined order for use every switching period.
