PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce, for each cylinder, nonuniform error due to thermal extension/retraction of a variable valve system. SOLUTION: In an engine 1000, an actuator 160 controlled by an operation control part 320 is a part of the variable valve system, and the valve opening characteristics of intake valves for cylinders are varied interlockingly with each other. The thermal extension/retraction of the variable valve system according to a variation in temperature causes a variation in the intake amounts of the cylinders. An operation control part 320 indicates a control value to which a specified corrective amount according to the cooling water temperature of the engine 1000 is added to the actuator 160. Thus, since the overall intake air amount of the plurality of cylinders can be set to a specified value, the engine 1000 generates a specified torque. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
