PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment agent for synthetic fibers, excellent in heat resistance and lubricity, seldom causing yarn breakages, fluffings and smoking, etc. in filament yarn manufacturing process, and capable of giving a dip cord having flexibility and high mechanical strength imcompatible with each other through controlling the amount of an RFL liquid infiltrating into the cord in undergoing adhesive treatment in particular. SOLUTION: The fiber treatment agent for industrial materials comprises (A) an alkylene oxide adduct of an ester(a3) of a polyhydric alcohol(a1) and a hydroxy-containing monocarboxylic acid(a2), (B) a polyester of the alkylene oxide adduct A and a carboxylic acid component(b) essentially comprising an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid(b1), (C) an alkylene oxide adduct of a hydroxy-containing compound(c) and (D) a base oil in the weight ratio A/B of (10:90) to (40:60).
