PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation which is used for the skins and can improve drabness or the like caused by the yellowing of the skin, namely, also visually subdued phenomena (the drabness of the skins) caused by reasons except the pigmentation of melamine pigment. SOLUTION: This external preparation for the skins is characterized by containing (1) 4-n-butylresorcinol and / or its salt, and (2) an anti-oxidizing substance originated from a fruit.
