PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an elevator door capable of preventing a passenger from prying open the car door, which is committed before the elevator car makes emergency stop. SOLUTION: When any passenger of the elevator while its car is running, tries to pry open the car door to cause the car door to open from the full closed position to the second position P, the second sensing signal 9b is turned from "L" to "H". If at this time, a speed sensing signal 4a of a door motor is emitted in the Open direction ("down" in the figure), prying is sensed, and a motor torque command value 25a increases steeply, and the pressing force given by the motor torque becomes equal to or greater than the force of prying so that prying is hindered.
