PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method which enables recording of high-quality images without staining a recording medium with ink droplets, and to provide an inkjet recording device. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device 10 has a polar solvent application means 50 set at the upstream side of a recording position 11. The polar solvent application means 50 can apply a polar solvent 51 to the recording medium 11. Inkjet recording is carried out after the water 51 as the polar solvent is applied to a front end 11c of a rear face of the paper 11 by the polar solvent application means 50.
