A filament retaining washer (12) for mounting about the shank of a bone screw (9) deployed in a bone whereby to retain the filament (15) to the bone (20,21), the filament retaining washer (12) comprising a structure (45) having a screw hole (30) extending therethrough for receiving therein the shank (27) of the bone screw (9) deployed in the bone (20,21), whereby to secure the structure (45) to the bone (20,21), the screw hole (30) defining a first axis, and the structure (45) having a filament hole (65) extending therethrough for receiving a filament (15) therein so as to retain the filament (15) to the structure (45), the filament hole (65) defining a second axis extending substantially perpendicular to the first axis. |
