<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a driving wheel capable of preventing the stick slip sound, increasing the rigidity of the device, and improving the durability. <P>SOLUTION: In this bearing device for the driving wheel wherein a wheel mounting flange 4, an inner rolling face 1a and a cylindrical small diameter step part 1b axially extended from the inner rolling face 1a are formed on an outer periphery of a hub ring 1, an inner ring 7 is externally fitted to the small diameter step part 1b, and axially fixed by a caulking part 6 formed by plastically deforming an end part of the small diameter step part 1b outward in the radial direction, a shaft part 17 axially extended from a shoulder part 16 of an outer joint member 14 of a constant velocity universal joint 3 and provided with a small diameter step part 17a and a serration 17b is internally fitted to the hub ring 1, and the hub ring 1 and the outer joint member 14 are detachably axially connected, a specific axial clearance is formed between the caulking part 6 and the shoulder part 16, and a specific radial clearance is formed between the small diameter step parts 1b, 17a of the hub ring 1 and the shaft part 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
