<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus capable of shortening a first printing time after an interference is recovered and minimizing a down time of a system by shortening a transition time to a printable condition of the printing apparatus when the apparatus is started again after the interference is recovered. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus has an after-processing device having an image forming device for printing an image on a paper, and a table member for carrying and elevating/lowering the paper printed by the image forming device, and a means for connecting the image forming device with the after-processing device.
