PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener tape and a stringer, well matching a thin and soft draping fabric, having both flexibility and softness to secure the tape strength and engagement strength as a slide fastener, at the time of sewing the slide fastener and after the sewing. SOLUTION: The knitted fastener tape is for the slide fastener of weft-knitted texture or woven texture with a tape body A and a fastener element attaching part B. The weft 1, 2, 11 and 21 and the warp 3, 12, 13 and 22, which are composition yarns of the fastener tape, are composed of multi-filament yarns. The single fiber fineness of a composition filament of the weft 1, 2, 11 and 21 is 1.0-2.0 dTex, and the single fiber fineness of a composition filament of the warp 3, 12, 13 and 22 is 2.0-5.0 dTex, which are not more than a quarter of the size of a conventional composition filament.
