PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide network authentication, a batch authentication method for single sign-on, and a system for performing authentication to a network provider and to a WEB service provider dealing with single sign-on for liberty alliance all together. SOLUTION: When a user terminal 1 attempts to connect to a WEB sever 4, it is determined whether a gateway 2 has already authenticated or not, and if it has not authenticated, an authentication server 3 receives a redirection instruction and requests for authentication processing to the terminal 1. When the terminal 1 is connected to the WEB server 4 after performing the authentication processing, the WEB server 4 requests for authentication information to the authentication server 3 by the single sign-on and determines the authentication.
