PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Peltier element controlling method, etc. by which the loads of a Peltier element and a circuit are reduced by suppressing a current at the time of starting the Peltier element. SOLUTION: The Peltier element controlling method for controlling temperature by controlling voltage and/or current to be impressed to the Peltier element is provided with a process for increasing voltage to be impressed to the Peltier element at the supply of a current by a 1st gradient with the lapse of time, a process for switching the 1st gradient to a 2nd gradient smaller than the 1st gradient and increasing the voltage to be impressed to the Peltier element with the lapse of time when the voltage impressed to the Peltier element arrives at the 1st voltage lower than a voltage value for PID control and a process for starting the PID control when the voltage impressed to the Peltier element arrives at the 2nd voltage which is the voltage value for the PID control.
