OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, AND METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR STILL OPERATION OF SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of achieving a still operation without deteriorating an optical disk. SOLUTION: This optical disk device is capable of performing a still operation for repeatedly tracing an optional number-th track of tracks formed on an optical disk 1 to increase by one track per round of the optical disk 1 by a pickup 3. The device is provided with a round number counter 4 for counting the number of rounds of the optical disk 1, and a control unit 6 for executing control to obtain the accumulated round number of the optical disk 1 after the start of a still operation from the round number counter 4, and to jump tracks to return a pickup 3 by n tracks in the reading start direction of the optical disk 1 when the accumulated round number becomes equal to a predetermined round number n(n>1).
