PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an on-vehicle information providing system adapted not to impart a sense of discomfort to an observer even when the positional relation between the information providing system within a vehicle room and the observer fluctuates. SOLUTION: A control section 103 calculates the estimated value of the motion of the crew's head (more particularly eyeball) by using the detection data of vehicle motion and the head rocking transfer function in a human body data base section 103. The control section 103 calculates the moving quantity in a pitch direction of an image display element 110 accompanying the rotational motion of the vehicle by using the detection data indicating the vehicle motion. The control section 103 determines the relative displacement of the eyeball position and the position of the image display element 110 by using both and shifts the image displayed on the image display element 110 in the pitch direction so as to cancel the movement of the displayed image due to a change in the relative displacement. The control section synthesizes a movable target (1) indicating the center of the original image with the original image data before the image shift and synthesizes a fixed target (2) indicating the center in the pitch direction of the display screen of the image display element 110 with the image data after the image shift.
