PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying control method for workpieces in which sufficient machining time can be secured, and stable machining can be added to the workpieces as line speed for the workpieces is increased to speed over critical machining time, and a carrying control device therefor. SOLUTION: In this carrying control method, a pair of seal rollers 10 are controlled as first line speed V<SB>1c</SB>is increased to second line speed V<SB>1a</SB>in sealing an intermediate 2 in seal time T. Seal speed V<SB>2</SB>is thus increased in non-seal ranges A<SB>2</SB>by the increased part of the second line speed V<SB>1a</SB>, and in sealed ranges A1, the first line speed V<SB>1c</SB>is maintained. By controlling a pair of inlet rollers 13 and a pair of outlet rollers 14, seal speed V<SB>3</SB>of the intermediate 2 is set to coincide with the seal speed V<SB>2</SB>at least in the seal ranges A<SB>1</SB>.
