PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity by eliminating mounting work and removing work of a cover member by an ATC device and shortening time required for the whole of a process. SOLUTION: A grinding tool 75 for finishing is fixed to a disk 74 constituting a spindle of a NC grinding machine 70 with the ATC device. At the inside, a cover mechanism 80 for opening/closing a spindle tapered hole 72 is provided. The cover mechanism 80 is constituted of first and second rotating members 83 provided on the disk 74. The rotating member 83 is constituted of a rotary shaft 88 rotatably provided on the disk 74, a weight 89 provided on the rotary shaft 88 and shutters 94 provided on the weight 89. When the spindle rotates, the rotating member 83 rotates with the rotary shaft 88 as a center against spring force of a coil spring by applying centrifugal force to the weight 89. As a result, abutting surfaces 94a with each other of each shutter 94 are abutted against each other to close the spindle tapered hole 72 from the outside. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
