The invention relates to a device for fixing a bicycle wheel (1) having an axis A to a frame (4), said device comprising: an internal hub (3) which is rotatably mounted on said frame (4) by means of at least one rolling bearing (5), and has an internal axial support region (28); an external hub (2) which is connected to the wheel rim of said wheel by means of spokes, bars (6) or flanges, and has an external axial support region (14) co-operating with said internal axial support region; and means for clamping (7) the external hub to the internal hub. Said internal (28) and external (14) axial support regions are located at a minimum distance of 20mm from the axis A, preferably at a minimum distance of 25 mm, and are distributed in the vicinity of a circle having a radius R of more than 25 mm, centred on the axis A. Said internal (28) and external (14) axial support regions comprise transmission means consisting of a plurality of teeth (11). |
