Emergency call generating arrangement for a motor vehicle comprises instrumentation (1) for measuring acceleration acting on the vehicle and its occupants, an evaluation unit (2) and a transmitter (3) for automatic transmission of an emergency signal. The arrangement also comprises means for estimating the type and degree of injuries to the vehicle occupants based on a computer model (4, 5, 6) for injury estimation. The transmitted emergency call, which is sent to an emergency center, includes the injury estimation data.
