The sofa comprises two seat areas (12), each provided with a combination of permanently joined backrest and armrest (14, 16). The seat areas (12) can be adjusted in depth either in relation to the dimensions of a particular person or in order to use the sofa as a daybed in combination with an extension (20) moving on castors (18).
