PURPOSE:To obtain a flicker effect ad enhance an eye catch effect with eyes by actuating a trigger circuit with a timing circuit, and causing a luminous tube to emit light at a specific frequency. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 17 of small capacity is charged with a capacitor charging circuit 18, and a trigger circuit 15 is actuated with a timing circuit 16, thereby causing a xenon discharge lamp 12 to emit light at a rate of 40 to 60 times per second. As a result, illumination can be made to have a flicker effect, and it is possible to increase an eye catch effect for eyes to catch the illumination. In this case, the luminous power of the xenon discharge lamp 12 is taken at 1 to 10% of rated power enabling stable positive column emission. As a result, a positive column generated in the xenon discharge lamp 12 becomes narrow and unstable, and changes a position in zigzag, and from (a) to (c) via (b), as illustrated. The positive column, therefore, looks as if oscillating. According to the aforesaid construction, an electrical decoration effect can be enhanced. |
