SOCS3 gene is identified as a gene whose expression level in T cells of patients with an atopic disorder is significantly higher than that of normal healthy subjects. The present inventors found that this gene can be used in testing for allergic diseases and in screening for therapeutic agents. The present invention enables screening for compounds useful in the treatment of allergic diseases.
