<p>The invention describes an apparatus 1 for separating off and compressing solids 55 of a liquid/solid mixture 24. The apparatus has a moisture-removing zone 54 and a transport device 5 which is coupled to a drive and has a receiving device for the solids 55 separated off in the transport device 5. The transport device is formed by a screw conveyor 6 which transports the solids 55 against the action of gravity from a lower first level to a higher second level, the conveyor screw 8 of which has a pitch 53 which decreases in the direction of transport. A bottom region 16 and an end wall 5 of the transport shell 7 holding the conveyor screw 8 is formed as a screen. The end wall 15 forms a part of a receiving chamber 13 into which a wastewater feed line opens. The transport device 5 is disposed in a shell 20 which seals odour-tightly, which shell is provided at its lowest point with an outlet which opens into especially a biological sewage treatment plant, for example a biotope 86. The transport shell 7 has guide tracks 67 for the liquid/solid mixture 24 which are disposed to run in parallel to a central axis 26 of the screw conveyor 6 or to run spirally to this. <IMAGE></p> |
