he disclosed herein pedicle-targeting instrument, which is designed to localize with accuracy the adequate point of the thoracic vertebrae wherein a pedicle screw may be safely inserted, is composed of the handle 1, the stem 2 ending at the bifurcated foot 3, and a tube targeting element 4 adapted to the stem. The entry point of the insertable to the thoracic vertebra pedicle screw will be defined, to a nicety, via the tube of the targeting element 4. The advantage of the invention is that it allows to a transpedicular thoracic pedicle screw to be safely set in place in order to constitute an extremely steady spine-retaining element. |
