PURPOSE:To reduce harmonic waves of a DC voltage of a power converter having an AC/DC converter and an inverter, to improve the efficiency of a motor, and to reduce data amount necessary to generate a switching pattern of the inverter. CONSTITUTION:In a power converter having an AC/DC converter 5 including a plurality of switching elements and a rectifier circuit 3 composed of rectifying elements, and an inverter 6 for reversely converting the DC of the output of the converter 5 to an AC, the output of the converter 5 is so controlled by a converter control circuit 11 as to become a predetermined voltage by varying ON and OFF output interval of a PWM pattern of a predetermined frequency by K, 1/K in a PWM switching pattern for controlling an induction motor 7 by an inverter control circuit 10 to alter an operating frequency. |
