<p>PURPOSE:To return magnetic tape to an intended position quickly even if regenerated data are not read out due to the damage of the magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic-tape running and driving mechanism part, a control part for controlling the running and driving mechanism part, a frame- synchronizing-signal generating means for regulating the rotating period of a rotary head, a first counting means 5 for counting the number of occurrence of the frame synchronizing signals in the regenerating state of the running and driving mechanism part and a second counting means 6 for counting the number of occurrences of the frame synchronizing signals in the rewinding state at the speed which is (n) times that of the running and driving mechanism part are provided. In the control part, the value which is 1/n of the counted value of the first counting means 5 is compared with the counted value of the second counting means 6. Thus, the magnetic tape is rewound to the original position at the speed of (n) times from the regenerating speed. This magnetic tape apparatus have these characteristics.</p> |
