<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin excellent in low-temperature moldability, etc., by forming a rubber-modified styrene resin containing a specified rubberlike elastomer in the form of dispersed particles, wherein the continuous phase comprises specified structural units. CONSTITUTION:A rubber-modified styrene resin containing a rubberlike elastomer having a vinylaromatic hydrocarbon polymer block and a conjugated diene- based polymer block and a specified weight ratio of the vinylaromatic hydrocarbon (e.g. styrene) to the conjugated diene (e.g. 1,3-butadiene) in the form of a dispersed particles, wherein the continuous phase comprises structural units A-D of formulas I-IV (wherein R1 and R3 are each H or CH3; R2 is H or 1-5C alkyl; R4 is 1-8C alkyl provided that when R3 is CH3, it is 2-8C alkyl; l and n are each 0-20; m is 0-5; and R5 to R8 are each R2, cyclohexyl or phenyl) and is specified in a ratio among units A-D, the diameter of a dispersed particle in the dispersed phase and the content of the rubberlike elastomer.</p> |
