Method and steering system for a multi-axle steering of a vehicle

During a motor vehicle's operation, basic rear axle adjustment is re-calibrated. A test shows if the first steering angle detected (VALW) on the front axle (FA) lies within a preset range of tolerance (VALWMIN-VALWMAX) to include an FA neutral position for straight movement. Vehicle speed (VSCAN) is checked to see of it lies above a preset minimum speed (VSMIN). An independent claim is also included for a steering system with a computer unit for electronic control of a commercial vehicle's multi-axle steering.
