The control and/or regulation method has at least one of the clutches of the dual-clutch gearbox torque-controlled for providing slip regulation during an overlapping gear shift, e.g. the clutch for the target gear is controlled with varying the engine drive torque, with the slip revs of the clutch for the initial gear held constant. An Independent claim for a dual-clutch gearbox for an automobile is also included.
