The device has a time meter triggered inductively by a vehicle and an influencing device (GM) arranged after the time meter which is activated at the start of the time measurement and deactivated after a defined measurement period. A control magnet (SM) mounted on the track before the influencing device is inductively influenced by a passing vehicle. The control magnet (SM) is connected via a rectifier (GL) and energy storage device (C) to an evaluation device (AWE) supplied with the locally applied voltage. The evaluation device starts a time measurement period if the voltage exceeds a defined threshold and sets a bistable device (R1)for activating the influencing device. When the switching time has elapsed the bistable switch is reset to deactivate the influencing device.
