PURPOSE: A pinch roller assembly of a tape recorder is provided to prevent damages of a magnetic tape by restraining a pinch roller from rising due to compression force of a main slide member. CONSTITUTION: A pinch roller(261) moves to attach a magnetic tape closely to a capstan shaft(142) by a main sliding member(175) sliding in a deck when the magnetic tape is loaded. A first rotative moving arm(262) is rotatively installed inside the deck based on a first hinge shaft(264) and the pinch roller is installed at a front end of the first rotative moving arm. A second rotative moving arm(265) is rotatively installed inside the deck based on a second hinge shaft and inter-works with the main slide member. The first rotative moving arm and the second rotative moving arm are freely lifted without interfering with each other.
