DOOR CLOSER HAVING A GENERATOR CAPABLE OF PREVENTING THE WASTE OF ELECTRICITY

PURPOSE: A door closer having a generator is provided to open and shut a door using a spring and to economize on electric power not to be wasted unnecessarily. CONSTITUTION: The door closer having a generator comprises: a hinge shaft(1) installed by a pair of bearings installed on a housing(7); a pinion gear installed on the hinge shaft(1) and rotated by the rotation of the hinge shaft(1); a pair of rack gears(3) engaged with the pinion gear and moved by the rotation of the pinion gear; a pair of springs(4) attached to the internal walls of the rack gear(3) and the housing(7), and compressed and extended by the movement of the rack gear(3); a pair of guides(5) attached parallel to the housing(7) to move the rack gear(3) by the rotation of the pinion gear; a limit switch contact unit projected to the outside of the rack gear(3) and contacted with a limit switch to switch on and off an electric circuit(11) connected with the limit switch; a speed increasing unit(10) connected with the hinge shaft(1) to make bidirectional rotation possible for increasing the rotational frequency of the hinge shaft(1); a generator(20) connected with the hinge shaft(1) to generate a 24-volt current by the rotational frequency increased by the speed increasing unit(10); a rectifier circuit(30) for rectifying the electricity generated by the generator(20); and a condenser(50) charging electricity by the rectification of the rectifier circuit(30).
