PURPOSE: A wet type electrophotographic image forming apparatus is provided to improve the secondary transfer efficiency by increasing the dielectric index of paper higher than a predetermined level. CONSTITUTION: A wet type electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes a transfer belt, a photosensitive drum for transferring a toner image to the transfer belt, a charger for charging the photosensitive drum with a predetermined potential, an optical scanning unit for irradiating light on the surface of the charged photosensitive drum to form an electrostatic latent image, a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image using a toner, the secondary transfer roller for transferring the toner image transferred to the transfer belt to paper(60), and a liquid carrier coater for coating a predetermined liquid carrier on the paper. The liquid carrier coater includes a coating roller(70) for coating the liquid carrier on the paper, a press roller(80) for supporting the paper passing between the press roller and the coating roller.
