PURPOSE: To provide an improved biofuel obtained from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and palm kernel oil product as a substitute for petroleum and diesel, and a method for synthesizing the biofuel, wherein the biofuel is a palm diesel with low pour point which has superior fuel characteristics and solves pour point problems encountered by conventional palm oil methyl ester in cold climate countries. CONSTITUTION: In a biofuel obtained from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and/or palm kernel oil product, or a mixture thereof, the biofuel comprises methyl or ethyl esters of C18, C18:1 and C18:2, or a mixture thereof. The method for synthesizing the biofuel comprises one process selected from a process(a) of esterification of a mixture of fatty acids of C18, C18:1 and C18:2; or a process(b) of fractional distillation of methyl or ethyl ester from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and palm kernel oil product; or a process(c) of crystallization of methyl or ethyl ester from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and palm kernel oil product; or an integration process(d) of fractional distillation and crystallization of methyl or ethyl ester from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and palm kernel oil product; and an integration process(d) of crystallization and fractional distillation of methyl or ethyl ester from palm oil, palm kernel oil, palm oil product and palm kernel oil product as a process of synthesizing a biofuel consisting of methyl or ethyl esters of C18, C18:1 and C18:2, or a mixture thereof.
