ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT EMITTING DIODE ASSEMBLY USING FILM TYPE OF PHOTOCATALYTIC MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An ultraviolet light emitting diode assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to achieve functions of antibiosis, sterilization and purification, and reduce power consumption and the size of the LED assembly. CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet light emitting diode assembly comprises an ultraviolet light emitting diode(5) having leads(1,3), and a photocatalytic material film(7) covering the circumferential surface of the ultraviolet light emitting diode. The photocatalytic material film is formed by coating or depositing photocatalytic materials. The photocatalytic materials are activated by the ultraviolet. The activated photocatalytic materials react with oxygen and water, thereby forming hydroxide radicals and superoxide ions.
