AIR CONDITIONER REDUCING THE WHOLE SIZE THEREOF BY OBTAINING LARGE BLOWOFF FORCE EVEN IN SMALL SIZE

PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to realize a small and slim air conditioner by reducing the whole size thereof by obtaining large blowoff force even in small size, and realize uniform air discharge in upper and lower direction. CONSTITUTION: A cabinet(10) has air paths(101,102) for sucking and discharging air. Heat exchangers(11) are installed in the cabinet. A helical fan(13) is formed of a rotary shaft installed vertically in the cabinet, a long cylindrical hub fixed at the rotary shaft, and helical blades formed on an outer peripheral surface of the hub, drawing a helical locus along by axial direction from one end of the hub to the other end. A driving motor(12) is combined with a lower end of the rotary shaft at a lower part of the helical fan for rotating the rotary shaft in one direction or two-way direction. A motor support member(18) supports the driving motor in the cabinet.
