PURPOSE:To provide the electronic mail system which can move a mail box even when a manager is absent. CONSTITUTION:The manager inputs the moving reservation data of the mail box from any arbitrary work station 1. The inputted move data are sent through a network 4 to a mail server 2, where the mail box exists at present, and held in a data holding means 7. A control means 5 compares the current time due to a timer means 6 with reserved date/time data, reads the move data in the data holding means 7 at the reserved date/time and requests the preparation of the mail box to a mail server 3 to newly prepare the mail box. After a new mail box 10 is prepared, mail is transferred from a former mail box 9 through the network 4 and after the transfer is completed, the former mail box 9 is eliminated. |
