A tuning cable assembly comprising a reinforced tube, a tuning cable placed within said reinforced tube, where the tuning cable is comprised of a thermoset material or a cross-linked thermoplastic material, and a narrow annular cavi ty formed between the inner surface of the reinforced tube, and the outer surface of t he tuning cable.
