Instrument transformer has a housing (1) containing the secondary coil. The outer primary coils (10) are wound around the outside of the housing, for which the latter has a number of mounting devices (2) with grooves for holding the coils. The housing is toroidal with guide pins (5) located in the central opening of the toroidal housing, which provides additional guidance for the primary coils. In addition the primary coils can be mounted at fixed angular intervals to compensate for forces exerted at high primary currents. |
