PURPOSE: A rubber composition for a rim flange reinforcing a tire sidewall is provided to improve hardness, wear resistance and chapping resistance. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition for a rim flange comprises 1-5 parts by weight of fiber filler based on 100 parts by weight of a base rubber. In the rubber composition, the base rubber comprises 4-12 parts by weight of a liquid polybutadiene rubber having a 1,2-vinyl content of 30-90 wt%, viscosity of 7.5-2500 poise and a number average molecular weight of 2500-9000. The fiber filler comprises 40-50 wt% of fiber that is poly-para-phenylene terephthalamide having a size of 1-2 mm and 50-60 wt% of a polymeric binder.
