PURPOSE: A heating plate for hair curlers used to curl or straighten hair is provided to protect hair from being damaged by heat, to emit far infrared rays and anions to hair and to shorten time for curling hair by containing jade in raw materials. CONSTITUTION: The heating plate of hair curlers comprises 69-84wt.% of Al2O3, 2-4wt.% of MgO, 1-3wt.% of CaO, 4-7wt.% of SiO2, 8-15wt.% of jade and 1-2wt.% of pigment. The heating plate is manufactured by mixing raw materials with water and kneading for 24hrs; pouring mixtures in a mold and applying pressure of 14x10¬3-16x10¬3kg/cm2 to the mold; sintering a formed product, plate(1), at 1300-1500deg.C for 1-3hrs; cooling a sintered plate in a furnace; polishing the surface of the plate; and mirror-grinding to have a glossy surface of the plate.
