PURPOSE: An X-ray generating apparatus is provided to reliably fix an X-ray tube in a protection case and achieve improved efficiency of generation of X-ray. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray generating apparatus(1) comprises a flange portion(18), a front panel(5), a protrusion(27), and a fixing nut(30). The flange portion is formed at an output window holding unit(12). The front panel is arranged in a protection case(2), and has an opening(26) for insertion of the output window holding unit. The protrusion is protruded from a wall forming the opening of the front panel, and contacts the flange portion of the output window holding unit. The fixing nut is made of a thermal conductive material, and has a screw portion(30a) which presses the flange portion contacting the protrusion toward the protrusion and is coupled into a female screw portion(29) formed at the wall of the opening.
