PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically exchanging an air filter for a vehicle is provided to exchange an air filter at a proper time and conveniently exchange the air filter by an automatic process. CONSTITUTION: An air filter(14) is installed in an air duct(13). A filter sensor unit(20) is mounted around the air filter for detecting a position of the air filter and detecting a pressure of air passing through the air duct. A filter controller(30) is mounted at a dash panel(12). An ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(50) determines an exchange time for the air filter by using signals transmitted from the filter sensor unit and the filter controller, and controls a warning element(40). A filter case transfer element(60) protrudes a filter case(11) placed in the air duct toward a passenger according to the control of the ECU. A filter support(70) is combined with one side of the filter case transfer element. A filter separator(80) selectively hits the air filter by moving in a straight line to separate the air filter from the filter case and drop the air filter on the filter support.
